Introducing the Acura Type S Concept, unveiled to the public on August 16, 2019 at The Quail.
The Acura Type S Concept shown was painted in “Double Apex Blue Pearl,” inspired by the blue Type S models from its past.
Acura says that the Type S Concept “sets the stage for re-introducing Type S performance variants to the Acura lineup after a decade hiatus and will heavily influence the character of the upcoming, second-generation TLX Type S.”

The Type S concept draws inspiration from the Acura Precision concept of 2016, but also pays homage to the top-dog NSX supercar as well as past Type S models. Here’s a 2020 Acura NSX in Indy Yellow Pearl paint that was at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
“For Acura, Super Handling All-Wheel Drive is a performance technology that we’re heavily invested in, from NSX on down, and that’s something that will continue,” a spokesman said.
It seems that Acura has been hard at work, and is also working on a new turbocharged V-6. You’ll have the details as soon as we have them.

Acura is the luxury vehicle marque of Japanese automaker Honda. Acura was first established in the United States and Canada, and it was later introduced to various other countries. The brand’s first vehicle, the Legend, proved to be such a success that rival brands followed suit and launched their own luxury divisions. Decades later, the Acura brand has become well known around the world.
