Trikes used to be strictly custom territory but in recent years Harley-Davidson has jumped in with its own Tri-Glide line.
I might have picked a name that sounds less like a personal lubricant, but no one asked me. Riding on three wheels isn’t exactly new; a lot’s changed since the good ol’ days when trikin’ relayed on the best 18th century technology had to offer.
But enough ancient history. Let’s see what’s up with the the H-D Tri-Glides for 2020. Harley’s three-wheelers offer tool-free preload adjusting, a new cornering enhanced linked brake system with ABS and Traction Control, and luxurious seating. Moreover, each Tri-Glide incorporates an Antilock Braking System (ABS) and Traction Control System (TCS) that work together to provide enhanced cornering capability.
The Freewheeler® has all-new braking enhancements like cornering enhanced Reflex™ linked brakes with ABS and traction control. Classic styling details, like bobtail fenders, slash cut pipes, 12-inch mini apes and Enforcer aluminum wheels. There’s enough cargo space to hold two full-face helmets plus extra gear. Power is plentiful, thanks to a Milwaukee-Eight® 114 V-Twin engine. Dual bending valve 49mm front forks and easily adjustable rear suspension make the ride smooth.
Now riders have the confidence that comes from all-new traction control on the Tri Glide® Ultra. It sends power where riders need it to help maintain control. It also has Milwaukee-Eight® 114 power, Reflex™ linked brakes with ABS, an all-new 4-speaker BOOM!™ GTS infotainment system, electronic cruise control and 6.8 cubic feet of storage space.
