Last week the Internet turned into a honey badger on crack, reporting that the Harley-Davidson LiveWire was on hold due to a charging issue.
Over one bike.
At least, that’s how it turned out. Both moto and mainstream media reported that LiveWire production had halted, owners and dealerships were being notified, etc. The usual steps a responsible company should take when there’s a product issue and lives are at stake.
There was a charging issue during a quality control check on one motorcycle in the production line which led to the halt and the notifications. After some investigation, H-D determined the problem was confined to just that particular bike and resumed production.
