This year’s Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction included more than three dozen cars from the well-known Sam Pack Collection.
Texas classic-car collector and dealership magnate Sam Pack is known for his talent in sourcing, restoring and maintaining his vast fleet of cars. Much of his collection is housed at his museum in Dallas. The museum is rarely open to the general public, however the doors are opened often by the philanthropist for special events including private parties and political and charitable fundraisers.
Every so often, Pack trims down his collection and puts a batch on the auction block. At this year’s Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction, the Sam Pack Collection included 40 cars that encompassed more than a century of automotive generations and innovations.
“The diversity of cars represented in this collection is what Barrett-Jackson is all about, celebrating the love of the automobile,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company.
