In a remote part of the California desert, an estimated 60,000 racers and spectators are gathering for the 2020 King of the Hammers.
Held in the off-road haven of Johnson Valley, the annual King of the Hammers (KOH) competition is the ultimate battleground that combines fast open desert sprints mixed with technical boulder crawls.
The 2020 King of the Hammers will have six races in seven days. UTV Race, The Shootout, Every Man Man Challenge, Desert Invitational, King of the Hammers, and the King of the Motos. Here’s a video with Can-Am / S3 Racing’s Dustin Jones with an overview of the KOH:

How to get there:
King of the Hammers is located on Means Dry Lake, in Johnson Valley, California. From Highway 247, turn north onto Boone Rd, a graded dirt road, and follow it as it winds its way to the main entrance gate. The entrance fee is $30 per person, $20 per camper, kids 10 and under are free.
What is in Hammertown?
Hammertown is essentially a temporary city, complete with street signs, a power grid, water services and bathrooms. Inside Hammertown, you’ll find the race pits, parts booths, food vendors, the main stage, a Jumbotron to watch the races.
