Baglietto: Panam Motor Yacht Set to Debut

Bag of Tricks

With Panam, Baglietto goes back to and revives its traditions in the construction of high-performing aluminum yachts pencilled by Francesco Paszkowski Design, with whom the Italian boat builder has been working since 1992. The vessel’s interiors as well, are by the Francesco Paszkowski Design Studio in cooperation with Margherita Casprini.

Designed to meet her owner’s wish to have a very sporty craft that would immediately convey a sense of speed and dynamicity, the Panam can deliver outstanding performances thanks to her aluminium alloy hull and 3 MTU V16 2000 engines plus 3 KaMeWa waterjets that push her to a maximum speed of 31 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 25. To the same purpose, several technical components, like the four aft hatches, have been built in carbon fibre to reduce weight.

The sleek, wedge-shaped profile, compact on the water, the powerful stern, and vertical bow endow this #yacht with a modern, dynamic, powerful character, also enhanced by the large, dark, geometrically-cut windows.

Contact with the sea is a priority on this yacht, successfully achieved thanks to the large windows that flood the interiors with plenty of natural light, the see-through surface of the gunwale on the main deck and along the perimeter of the fly bridge, and the extraordinary liveability of the outdoor spaces, which feature a beach club and a large flybridge.

In keeping with the design of the exteriors, the interiors have a contemporary, elegant and welcoming style. Few materials have been employed in different combinations for the various indoor areas: warm light wood in soft shades of grey and dove grey has been used for the sandblasted oak floors and the striped oak vertical wall cladding, while the furnishings – such as shelves, tops and cupboard doors – are elegantly enriched by leather and glass details. The bathrooms are characterized by an extensive use of onyx and marble, selected together with the Owner, in harmonious color consistency with the lacquered surfaces of the ceiling panels.

The layout features a large saloon on the main deck, separated from the dining area by a “green” wall. At the bow, the full-beam master stateroom has a walk-in wardrobe and a bathroom with Hammam. Two electric windows open on both sides, offering a breathtaking panoramic view. An additional child room has also been fitted in the master cabin.

Four guest cabins have been arranged on the lower deck, where the professional galley can also be found. Forward, on the same deck, the crew area includes the captain’s cabin, 2 double cabins, the laundry, and the dinette. The partially floodable garage, accommodating a 17′ tender, is located behind the engine room. Directly connected to the pleasant aft beach area, 3 of its sides can be folded down and converted into 3 terraces, while the beach platform transformer provides easy access to the sea.

The great focus on outdoor spaces reaches its peak in the 65 sq. m fly bridge, which, aft, is entirely occupied by a large custom-made swimming pool with counterflow system, and also features a customized bar counter with sliding top designed by Studio Paszkowski and an additional sunbathing area located forward.

Motor yacht Panam will have her world premiere at the forthcoming Cannes Yachting Festival, the international boat show to be held from 7 to 12 September and at the Monaco Yacht Show, from 22 to 25 September.
