Designed for in-dash mounting, JEGS 3-3/8-inch Tachometers and Speedometers have LED lighting and high-speed stepper motor movement. The gauge dial matches JEGS 2-5/8-inch and 2-1/16-inch gauges and is available in the same colors (black, silver, or white). These gauges come with a chrome bezel, plus two aluminum trim rings (silver and black) that snap onto bezel.
The tachometer has two options for signal input with a standard inductive coil ignition or for an ignition box with a signal wire (i.e. CD-style ignition box). This tachometer does not require a tach adapter.
The speedometer is programmable and allows recalibration when making changes to the tire size or gear ratio. A remote mounted button is used to set the two trip odometers and to calibrate the speedometer. Compatible with most production electronic speedometer sending units (senders are also available separately if needed).
The optional wiring connector (available in the Kit) allows for a simple reliable connection to the blade terminals on the back of the gauge. Speedometer works with most Hall-Effect or Magnetic Pulse sending units that meet the following conditions:
• Pulse range generated proportional to vehicle speed.
• Signal with minimum 3V peak to peak signal – typical for 3-wire Hall-Effect and 2-wire vehicle speed sensor outputs.
4,000 to 200,000 pulses per mile (8,000 to 16,000 is typical).

JEGS High Performance sells performance auto parts, aftermarket accessories, tools, and race apparel. JEGS was founded by Jeg Coughlin Sr. in 1960 as a small speed shop. JEGS is still family owned and operated, but has expanded to include a massive 250,000-square-foot warehouse, approximately 350 employees, two mail-order facilites, a retail store and a race team (Team JEGS). Team JEGS is currently one the most successful teams in U.S. drag racing, with more than 100 victories at the national, divisional and local levels. And JEGS Foundation Racing for Cancer Research program has raised several million dollars.
