MaxTrac Suspension, an industry leader in 2-wheel drive lift- and lowering-kits since 2010 surprised the world in 2018 when they introduced their first 4-wheel drive application, the 2007-2013 Chevy/GMC 1500. Quickly becoming a customer favorite for not only the cost, but also the ride quality, shops couldn’t help but field incessant requests for the kits. Thanks to the ease of install, the same shops called back and began to introduce their own customers to the new MaxTrac kit. With an impressive showing for their first 4WD kit behind them and the formula for success created, 6” lift kits for the 2014-18 GM and 2007-21 Tundra quickly followed onto the scene.
For 2016, GM’s trucks introduced a new wrinkle to the suspension industry by using aluminum spindles from the factory. Wanting to keep the material as an option, MaxTrac began experimenting with aluminum forging for select lowering applications. After perfecting the forging process, MaxTrac knew there was a better application and set their sights on the big trucks. Released in 2020, 4” and 6” lift kits for the 2017+ Super Duty and 2014+ Ram 2500 featured optional forged aluminum 4-links. MaxTrac now offered a premium and stronger material (6082 T-6 Aluminum) than a traditional cast steel or chromoly option at a cost substantially lower than the competition. The cost savings has allowed MaxTrac to lead the industry and become one of the most requested kits for the 2014+ Ram 2500/3500 platform!
Building off the success of previous 4WD kits, MaxTrac is excited to announce continued fitment of the 4- and 6-inch 4WD kits with new applications now covering the 2019+ RAM 2500/3500 4WD Diesel trucks! RAM redesigned the interior and exterior of these trucks for the 2019 model year and tweaked a few suspension components along the way which forced aftermarket engineers back to the drawing board. Ride quality is always at the forefront of everything MaxTrac designs and starting with the smoothest-riding heavy-duty truck to ever be created meant a lot could go wrong.
Utilizing a liner-rate coil spring that perfectly matches the factory spring to lift the front, MaxTrac completes the kits with fabricated brackets on the track bar, sway bar, extended bump stops and a drop pitman arm. On 2500 models, the rear is lifted using a fabricated steel coil spacer, maintaining Ram’s exceptional factory ride quality and payload capacity. Leaf-sprung 3500 rear ends are treated to the old-fashioned block and U-bolt treatment.
As with the previous generation of trucks, the economy MAXPRO kits feature radius arm drops while the MAXPRO ELITE kits include the monstrous forged aluminum 4-link arms. Both kits offer the choice between MaxTrac’s application-tuned shocks or Fox’s 2.0 IFP shocks to smooth the ride over the harshest of roads or slimmest of rubber bands. Using the same no-cut technology found in all other MaxTrac lift kits, these kits will install in less than a day, saving you time, headaches and money. Because of the ability to return a truck back to stock, this is the ideal kit for a leased or fleet truck!
Whether you choose the drop brackets for an easy alignment or prefer to dial in your caster with the adjustable arms, the truck will drive just as well as it did when it was stock. If you do splurge for the 4-link option, you’ll see the arms are mounted to the truck on massive 1-1/4-inch rebuildable chromoly spherical rod ends. All brackets are laser-cut from ¼-inch steel and hand-welded at the MaxTrac headquarters in Anaheim, CA for exceptional precision.
As a manufacturer, MaxTrac does not sell retail but is committed to the success of its wholesale partners and is proud to be able to continue to offer industry-leading margins with these new kits while still undercutting the cost of competitors’ kits. MaxTrac utilizes a minimum advertised price (MAP) policy across its distributor network. MAP of the entry-level MAXPRO 6” kit (Part #K947463) is $1,333.99 and the MAXPRO ELITE (Part #K947463FL) carries a MAP of $3,525.99. With the 4” and 6” kits differing by less than $100, MaxTrac is guaranteed to have a kit for your project, no matter the budget!
The kits currently only fit diesel and 4WD and will not fit air-ride equipped trucks. They are available now for shipping immediately and can be purchased through one of several wholesale distributors and retail locations across the country. Maxtrac Suspension was founded in November 2010, right in the midst of America’s recession. We decided with the experience and knowledge that the team had built up over the years, we could build something that was a little more than a hole-in-the-wall generic parts dealer. We had the ability to bring price-competitive suspension components to the market, while still providing top notch quality on everything we make here in house at our facility in Anaheim, CA.
We provide all 3 types of suspension modifications on the market; lowering, leveling, and lifting. Our large line of lowered and lifted knuckles / spindles provide the cornerstone to many of our kits, providing true stock ride quality and comfort.
