American Expedition Vehicles—AEV for short—is the world’s premier supplier of OE-quality products for off-roading and overland travel. AEV’s front and rear bumpers, hoods, wheels, suspension lifts, and other parts are designed to work in concert with one another in real-world environments.
AEV’s wheel designs combine race-inspired styling with off-road ruggedness. AEV pioneered the idea of recessed valve stems, which come in handy when you’re bumping and grinding your wheels across rocks and other obstacles.
AEV wheels are made with vehicle-specific offsets for optimal tire clearance, fender fitment, scrub radius, and handling. Other features include:
• Cast aluminum construction
• Hub centric design
• Uses OE lug nuts
• TPMS compatible
• Meets stringent DOT/SAE J2530 safety standards
• Lifetime structural warranty
AEV wheels are available for Jeep JK/JL Wrangler and Gladiator; Dodge/Ram 2500/3500; Chevy Colorado; and Toyota 4Runner, Tacoma, and FJ Cruiser.
AEV doesn’t subscribe to the “lift it to the moon” philosophy. They engineer out the shortcomings of the factory suspension with a design that emphasizes a modest lift increase with significant improvements to payload, ride quality, and handling. Their DualSport RT Suspension Kits are a perfect example of this. The systems deliver increased up and down travel and better articulation and bottoming control for sporty, responsive handling. Frequency-tuned, triple-rate coil springs with specially tuned Bilstein 5100 shock absorbers support up to 400 pounds of additional equipment such as steel bumpers, full-size spare, and a winch. Heavy-duty, stamped control arm geometry correction brackets improve ride and reduce nosedive under hard braking, and a rear track bar tower extension corrects the rear roll center and helps generate a better turn-in response. New front and rear bump stop spacers improve bumper/axle contact under full articulation and jounce.
AEV DualSport RT Suspension Kits provide a 2.5-inch bump in ride height to allow tires as big as
37″ x 12.50″ to fit, no problem. And due to the reasonable lift height, you can reuse the OE track bars, control arms, and steering components, saving you valuable money and installation time.
Also available in the kit is AEV’s ProCal SNAP, a fast and easy-to-use electronic module that recalibrates the speedometer after you’re done adding larger tires and steeper axle gears.
Differential Covers
AEV Differential Covers merge serious axle protection with other features to make them the best choice for your truck or Jeep. For starters, the covers are made from durable, high-strength nodular iron. This allows them to handle being dragged across and bashed into rocks that routinely send stamped steel and cast aluminum covers to an early grave. Reinforced bottom edges with recessed hardware prevent hangups and leaks due to broken bolts.
Fluid level ports are placed at the correct level to meet factory specifications, eliminating the need to guess or use a dipstick to determine the correct amount of oil. AEV’s exclusive oversized fill port allows you to easily add fluid straight from the bottle. It also doubles as an inspection port, allowing you to see inside the differential to inspect for ring gear damage and look for water intrusion. There’s even enough room to use a dial indicator to inspect for problems without removing the cover.
All AEV Differential Covers are E-coated and silver hammertone powdercoated for good looks and to increase their durability. They are available for Jeep JK/JL Wrangler and Gladiator, Chevy Colorado, and Ram 2500.
AEV Snorkel Intake Systems provide essential engine protection for overland adventurers whose explorations include deep water crossings and dusty roads. The snorkels are made from cross-linked polyethylene for maximum durability and to ensure thermal stability in extreme hot and cold temperatures. Additional features include:
• Compatible with all factory engine options
• Huge air inlet for increased airflow
• Exact fit to the contour of the vehicle body
• Installs directly into the stock air box inlet without modification
• Optional self-cleaning Sy-Klone Pre-Filter is available for vehicles operating in severe dust, sand, or silt environments
AEV Snorkel Intake Systems are available for Jeep JK/JL Wrangler and Gladiator, Chevy Colorado, and Ram 2500.
