Yokohama Tire’s already-strong off-road team just got a powerful boost: Chris Forsberg. Forsberg Racing, led by the three-time Formula Drift champion, is ready to slide into the dirt on Yokohama’s GEOLANDAR tires.
The Yokohama/Forsberg Racing Off-Road partnership kicks off at the Yokohama NORRA 500, Oct. 19-22. Forsberg will compete with Team Yokohama member Leticia Bufoni in a production-class 2023 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X modified with all-new NISMO off-road parts on GEOLANDAR M/T G003 tires.
“Transitioning from drift to dirt with Yokohama’s GEOLANDAR tires, paired with rugged all-new NISMO Off-Road parts and a Nissan Frontier is a thrilling new chapter,” said Forsberg.”
“Chris is such a talented driver,” said Andrew Briggs, Yokohama Tire’s vice president of marketing & product management. “Being part of this off-road effort along with his other partners like Nissan and NISMO Off-Road is a powerful combination. Yokohama and Nissan are two iconic Japanese companies who share a rich motorsport history, so it’s really exciting to be able to collaborate with them on this program. We look forward to conquering the Yokohama NORRA 500 together.”
Yokohama is the title sponsor of the Yokohama NORRA 500. Famous for its “good vibes, good times!,” the two-day race runs from Ensenada, BC, Mexico, to San Felipe. Yokohama will highlight its GEOLANDAR tire line at the event, including the M/T G003 mud-terrain tire. For more information, visit www.norra.com/.
